The OSL innovative community internal address system is designed appropriately for the haphazard unique layout mix of the Ghanaian structural environment. The internal address system consist of unique numbering patterns of streets and houses in communities with formal and informal layouts as shown below;
APPENDIX A
OSL BASIC STREET NUMBERING PATTERN TO SUPPORT STREET NAMING FOR EASY NAVIGATION WITHIN COMMUNITIES
- 1. Every Community shall have a main Entry Point.
- 2. The main street starts from the community entry point.
- 3. The Community Main Street shall be coded 00.
- 4. All streets branching from the main street is assigned a 2- digit code starting from 01, 02 etc. Odd numbers (01, 03,05 etc) are assigned to those branching to the left. Even numbers (02, 04, 06 etc ) are assigned to those to the right.

- 7. The coding of the streets follows 'the first contacted steet from the enty point, the first coded' principle.
