National Export And Import Equalisation Scheme (NEIES)
The innovative National Export and Import Equalisation Scheme(NEIES) is a scheme designed to induce the large urban business population to export to generate
its own foreign currencies to import goods and services without paying port duties and taxes. This is expected to continuously reduce the use of foreign currencies
generated by Ghana’s traditional export sector for private sector imports. Government and public institutions will as a result eventually have exclusive access to
and use of foreign currency from Ghana’s traditional export sector. The main objective of NEIES is to trigger a massive and accelerated non-traditional export-led
expansion of the Ghanaian economy to generate sustainable mass employment opportunities and enduring prosperity in Ghana.
Community Residents Identification and Management Systems (CRIMS)
CRIMS is a community-based platform designed to manage the address-based identification and registration
of all residents in defined communities in Ghana. The platform comes with an OSL’s Community Internal Address
System (CIAS) which allows the communities to be uniquely identified with all the roads, streets and houses
coded with numeric addresses to aid easy navigation and property identification within the communities.
All households and household members are also uniquely identified with numeric codes in relation to the codes
assigned to the streets and houses they are residing. An institutional revenue generation model has been made part of
CRIMS to make it easier for various revenue collection agencies in the country to maximize their revenues using the platform
to identify and collect revenues from individuals and other corporate entities.
